Lords of the Ultra-Realm #2 (of 6)
Cant II: Madness of Mirrors
July 1st, 1986
"At one of the seven strategic sites along the world-girding Twilight Band, the balance between light and darkness shifts... as one of the seven shining keeps is devoured by the other side. The passive balance Scala speaks for the first time, and offers of herself a blood sacrifice, to drive out the darkness and protect Bliss' abandoned keep.
Falkon was renewing his strength in his mirror when it was shattered and he was murdered. Now the spirits of the remaining Lords of Light-- Krishlar, Prince of Peace; Kontentos, the Prince of Grace; Satorana, the Prince of Enlightenment; Erosanda, Prince of Love; Sain: the Prince of Order; and Viridium, the Prince of Life, send their mirror selves to commune with Savage-Falkon. They explain that if the balance is not restored, that the Ultra-Realm and Earth will "collide, merge, and disintegrate." The Lords of Light use their souls to repair Bliss' mirror, but it remains cracked to reflect the present imbalance and impurity. While sealing Murkon on the Foundation World would seem to restore the status quo, the corrupting ambiguity of Michael Savage is a problem. Likewise are the power plays to come from the Lords of Darkness, who cannot deny their natures even on threat of mutually assured destruction.
Squamonton, Prince of Greed; Zorla, Prince of War; Lashtarr, Prince of Madness; Myridian, Prince of Hate; Mortanos, Prince of Death; and Shatragon, Prince of Chaos come together to cast a spell to protect Rage's abandoned keep, knowing that Savage-Falkon will be sent after their individual restorative mirrors to hobble them. The Lords of Light have themselves already been made vulnerable by sending their souls into Bliss' mirror, so it's up to Savage-Falkon against his first target, Lashtarr...
