An escaping menace from the Phantom Zone terrorizes Metropolis, resulting in a big battle between the monster and the Man of Steel. Will a missing old friend of Superman's be the city's only hope?

Luthor wins the presidency, and is thrown a ticker tape parade. Meanwhile, Clark and Lois are revealing Clark's secret identity to John Henry Irons (who already figured it out). They go to see the prisoner that Superman had brought back from the Phantom Zone (Luna) only to find that she had broken free. Then, her "pet" Lunatick starts eating all the city's power. Can the Man of Steel stop it before it destroys Lexcorp Towers (or does he even want to) ?
