"The Trial of Superman" part 5, continued from Action Comics (1938-2011) #716. Superman and the two remaining fugitives meet Freelance, who has been sent by the Tribunal to retrieve them. Continued in Superman (1987-2006) #107.

Superman is wanted and a rowdy crew of space pirates are trying to collect the reward. The captain, Freelance, challenges Superman to a duel, with a wager: Freelance wins, they get to bring Superman to the Tribunals, but if Big Blue wins, he and his friends go free. Meanwhile, Team Superman is being ambushed. Finally, they all escape, only to engage in a climactic final scene.
