Etrigan's plan for political office goes off-kilter when he's offered the vice-presidential chair. He accepts and his political assistant realizes that he plans to eventually kill the President and take over the seat of power that way. The assistant uses her skills and inside knowledge to neutralize Etrigan and destroy his Presidential aspirations. She goes into hiding but is swiftly found anyway. Etrigan does not hurt her, though. Her deviousness in destroying his plans are qualities he admires.
