The House of Mystery lies in ashes, but the real destruction is just beginning for Cain, as he and a host of scorched mysteries must take refuge in Abel's House of Secrets.
With the House of Mystery burned to the ground, Cain and the few mysteries he was able to salvage are forced to move into the House of Secrets with his brother Abel. The laws of the realm prevent Merv Pumpkinhead from beginning work on rebuilding the Cain's home, and Cain falls deeper and deeper into a depression.
