In 1950s England, when the British Space Group was part of the Sliding Albion affair, an exploratory mission was sent to Venus. Radio telescopes had indicated signs of life there, so noted pilot and adventurer David Dauntless and his crew left in their ship, the Alexandra, to take a closer look.
