In "Ghost Dance" a story about a young woman trying to drown out the sounds of her ancestors' violent act comes back to haunt a young couple. Swamp Thing might be able to help them--but he's about to take the next step in his spirit quest with John Constantine.

Inspired by the story of Sarah Winchester, daughter in law of the owner of Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The firm invented the Winchester rifle, and Sarah was always horrified by the number of lives lost to the firearm. As a result, after the death of her husband, she decided to continue to expand the Winchester mansion, randomly instructing builders to add doors, floors, and stairways, some of which led to dead ends, others leading to huge drops. She believed this would help to confuse and evade the spirits of the victims of the Winchester rifle. The Swamp Thing issue refers to the Cambridge Repeater instead, though there is mention of it being a cheap imitation of the Winchester.
