In this issue, the main story focuses on the relationship between Laurie (Silk Spectre) and Dan (Night Owl). It starts off with them in the Owl Cave, Laurie accidently sets off a flamethrower looking for the cigarette lighter.

Afterwards we see the two of them snuggeling up together and they watch the news. Afterwards they try to make love, unfortunately to no avail. During the night we are Privey to a dream that Dan is having where it is revealed that his impotence is caused by a sense of helplessness, due to the chaos around him.

When Laurie finds him naked in the "Owl Cave" they decide to take the ship out and be vigilanties again. They manage to save a lot of people from a tenemant fire. Apparently this gets the blood running and afterwards they are able to finally consumate the relationship.
