Joseph Meach works as a custodian in the Superman Museum. Feeling bitter because of his lot in life, he unexpectedly gets struck by lightning in front of the Legion of Super-Heroes exhibit and gains the power of each Legion member, but his physical appearance is a mix, or a composite, of both Superman and Batman. With his new powers, the Composite Superman demands that Superman and Batman allow him to join in their capers or he'll reveal their secret identities, which he learned by using Saturn Girl's telepathy. However, his powers fade. Reprinted in World's Finest Comics #223, DC Special Series #23, Showcase Presents: World's Finest #2 and Superman/Batman: The Greatest Stories Ever Told #1.
