When the WildC.A.T.s set out to stamp out a Daemonite nest the team finds themselves caught in the middle of an old vendetta between Warblade and the woman called Misery.

The WildC.A.T.s invade a facility that is housing some Daemonites. The leader of this group has a host that was involved with the super-team known as Cyberfoce. The leader has an aide in Misery, a telepathic woman with very formidable fighting prowess. When she meets Warblade, it is revealed that they both have a past together, a very close and turbulent one. While the rest of the team battles and defeats the Daemonites, Warblade insists that he will stay behind to stop Misery. Soon, unfortunately, the whole base explodes, and the WildC.A.T.s are left wondering if their teammate could have survived it.
