Daredevil goes head-to-head with Black Spectre! Mister Fantastic makes an appearance!

The story starts with Mr. Fantastic running some tests on Wundarr, and effectively deducing that Wundarr was brought up in isolation (and is thus simply uneducated, and not mentally disabled). Some sort of shock wave explodes off Wundarr as Reed explains that Wundarr is a kind of radiation sponge and expels the excess energy when he reaches his storage limit. The shock wave sends rubble blowing out of the Baxter Building, nearly clipping Daredevil, who's swinging by, and knocking him loose from his billy club. After breaking his fall thanks to a handy wrecking crane, a flagpole, and an awning, Daredevil gets up and heads for the Baxter Building to retrieve his billy club.

Inside, DD runs into Ben and retrieves the club with Reed's help, during which time we learn Reed has made Wundarr a special suit to control the energy. While Ben goes to dress the kid, Daredevil departs.

Daredevil meets up with Shanna the She-Devil, who tells him about the Mandrill, and goes on a date (in his civilian ID as Matt Murdock) with his partner's sister. A bizarre murder occurs on stage at the theater, and Daredevil discovers the Black Widow fleeing the scene. After she escapes in an unusual aircraft, Daredevil returns to the FF for help...
