Ken starts experimenting with his power--what it can do, and what he should do with it. Among other things, he flies into space, acts as a peeping Tom on his girlfriend, tries to help a kid stuck in a well only to be upstaged by Spitfire, and saves a ship from a nuclear explosion.

He talks with his friends Myron and Duck about his problems with the power, and Myron unsuccessfully tries to get him to join a therapy group.
