Scourge disguises himself as a prison guard, planning to take out Hobgoblin who has just been arrested. Spider-Man intervenes, but, luckily for Scourge, another supervillain, the Wraith just so happens to arrive on the scene to pull off some sort of scheme, so Scourge kills him instead and makes sure the mission wasn't a total loss after all.
