The team becomes acquainted with the weird science of Dr. Edward Lansing. The ambitious Lansing is determined to create a Super Solider Serum…and the Champions prove perfect guinea pigs!

Black widow and Hercules are ambushed on a beach by an escaped experiment subject and are taken captive when guards show up to bring the experiment subject back to the hospital. Once at the hospital they learn that the director of San Marino State Hospital, Dr. Edward Lansing is trying to recreate the super soldier serum. Lansing gains control of Hercules and Black Widow and has them & his Mutates attack, Iceman, Angel and Natasha’s friend Ivan at Angel’s house. Black Widow forced to attack her friend Ivan, she realizes he’s her friend breaks free of Lansing’s control and destroys the device controlling her, Hercules and the mutates. The now free mutates turn on Lansing, and killing him.
