While Gamesmaster and Selene watch their machinations unfold from afar, the X-Men try to discover the truth about the mutant called Bishop.

Bishop arrives in the present day to battle Fitzroy. He manages to defeat him, but soon discovers that he is now trapped in the current time period because Fitzroy destroys his means of time travel. Meanwhile, Professor Charles Xavier and Forge are in the X Jet with Jean Grey as they return her mind back to her body, after she was inside the consciousness of Emma Frost. Bishop encounters the X-Men, but he believes that theu are fakes and takes the whole gold team on. During this time Trevor Fitzroy escapes and blows up the are where Bishop and the X-Men were at. The X-Men and Bishop both manage to esxape.
