Flashback to the Savage Land. After their battle with the security system of the abandoned Brotherhood compound, Wolverine opportunistically drops Cyclops down a ravine.

Awakening, badly injured and barely alive, Cyclops begins the long struggle to drag himself out of the hole he's found himself in.

Back in the states, the X-Men seek intelligence regarding the location of Magneto's hidden Citadel. Professor X supports a distraught Nightcrawler through their incarceration in Camp X-Factor. And Storm and Beast come to an understanding about their former relationship is found.

After a month of dragging himself out of danger, Cyclops is found by a search party and treated for his injuries. The only problem is, they've taken him to Magneto's Citadel.
