Wolverine meets up with Epsilon Red, the man he was suppose to take out in 1968. Epsilon Red is a psi-talent and helps Wolverine sort out his memories. Epsilon Red shows Wolverine what really happened in 1968. Wolverine was on a mission to kill Epsilon Red but Sabretooth came and said the mission was scrubbed. Wolverine comes back to reality and demands Epsilon Red to move the memory blocks. The Wolverine helps Epsilon Red launch into space.

The X-Men pick up Wolverine to go on a mission involving Omega Red (see X-Men).

It turns out that Elena Ivanovna, Epsilon Red’s daughter was the psi-talent. Also, in 1968 as Wolverine leaves, Sabretooth kills Epsilon Red’s wife for kicks.
