Wolverine hallucinates, seeing himself in the Weapon X gear as Cyber breaks his bone claws. Then he realizes that he is in a car with Zoe Culloden on the run from Cyber, shortly after Cyber really did break the claws in one of Wolverine's hands. Cyber pursues them as Wolverine and Zoe try to make it to Muir Island. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Bloodscream is still alive.

Note: This comic features a number of tubes with blood-samples taken from Wolverine, one of which is labeled "Logan X" and "#23" on two separate labels. Some collectors consider this a 'concept-appearance' for X-23, despite X-23 creator Craig Kyle's denial of a connection, that it conflicts with X-23's origins as established in Innocence Lost, and no subsequent publication by Marvel establishes a link. This has led to some controversy surrounding this issue among fans and collectors.
