The new team leader is announce since the old leader Zeitgeist (Axel Cluney) died. The mutant known as "Mister Sensitive" changes his name to The Orphan. This issue focuses on The Orphan and his abilities and his weakness. The character suffers from great sensitivity which brings him pain. The first two pages are The orphan's attempted suicide ritual, then the recap of the massacre of the old team.

The new X-Force lineup is revealed after last issue's massacre; the old X-Force (Cannonball, Domino, Boom-Boom, and Warpath) meanwhile confront the team over the usage of the name "X-Force".
