X-Force has had enough of Boomer's moonlighting to the Danger Room to visit Sabretooth. They stage an intervention in hopes of helping her see how dangerous the activity is. Boomer, however, is belligerent. The team threatens to kick her off the team when Professor X steps in and convinces her of her error. Elsewhere, Sebastian Shaw makes an alliance with Holocaust.

Synopsis

Once again, Boomer sneaks out in the middle of the night to take Sabretooth a bowl of milk. This time, however, her friends - including her boyfriend Cannonball - ambush her to stage an intervention. At first Boomer takes it all as a joke, but then she starts getting angry and tries to flip the script on the things the others have done. A line is finally drawn: Boomer either stops seeing Sabretooth or she is off the team. She tries to bargain so as to have both (maybe a chaperone; maybe getting to say one last goodbye), but she gets shut out. She nearly storms out, but Professor Xavier intervenes to try and talk some sense into her. She finally breaks down and reveals the true source of her position: She has felt guilty giving up on her father as a lost cause and wants to be open to giving others a second chance.

Near dawn, Boomer still attempts to access the Danger Room. Her access code has been restricted. She rants in frustration and tries to catch a glimpse of Sabretooth, but he remains hidden from view. She flees from the control room crying. Sabretooth watches from the shadows with a maniacal grin.

Elsewhere, Holocaust devours the life forces from some locals on a south seas island. Sebastian Shaw, widely believed to be dead, confronts the killer and, after exchanging some blows, offers to strike up a partnership.
