The second largest ocean in the world, the Atlantic Ocean separates the continents of North and South America from Europe and Africa.

The Atlantic Ocean is often depicted as the location of the lost city of Atlantis due to its proximity to Europe (from where they myth originated.) It is also the setting of the Sargasso Sea (which featured heavily in golden age stories) and the Bermuda Triangle. The ocean also appeared often in the silver age in the stories of Adam Strange, as he would wait over top of the ocean for the Zeta Beam to strike him.

Islands in the Atlantic Ocean that have appeared in comics:

  • Bahamas
  • Cuba
  • Haiti
  • Jamaica
  • Nacht Island - a fictional island located in the Bermuda Triangle
  • Puerto Rico
  • Falkland Islands

Note: For a more detailed look at islands in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Caribbean there is a list in the comic geography of Earth.
