Baghdad was the first city on Earth to contain one million inhabitants. Now with a population of over six and a half million, it is Iraq's largest city, as well as its capital.

Baghdad was the focus of the award-winning The Sandman #50 which shows the King giving the city to Dream in order to forever preserve its beauty.
