Birj is a moon of the gas giant Marman located approximately 80,000 light years from Earth.

Birj is the home planet of Tyros the Terrible, cruel dictator of the city-state known as Terran (also called Lanlak) carved from a massive piece of stone. He would later become the Herald of Galactus known as Terrax the Tamer.

Birj was destroyed by the Phoenix Force.
