Black Kingdoms is a name given to the kingdoms south of Stygia (Egypt), they are African nations in the so-called Hyborian Age. The names of some of the kingdoms were inspired by names used in real history: Kush it was inspired by the Kingdom of Kush in Nubia, Keshan inspired by Kesh, an Egyptian name from Nubia, Darfar inspired by Darfur in Sudan, Punt inspired by Land of Punt and Zembabwei inspired by Zimbabwe. In Gamburu, there is a group of Amazons led by Nzinga, these Amazons were possibly inspired by the Dahomey Amazons. Nzinga was inspired by ther queen Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba (present-day Angola).
