General Portrayal

Likely the third most commonly depicted New England state in comics, Connecticut is not particularly common overall but has been used for a few significant recurring storylines including as part of Marvel's Civil War and follow-up Avengers: Initiative events and also as one of the more prominent bases for the B.P.R.D. in the Hellboy universe.

Sub-Locations

Real-World Locations

  • Fairfield: One of the more prominent homes of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense
  • Stamford: A small city in Connecticut. It was destroyed by a battle between the New Warriors, and Nitro, Coldheart, Cobalt Man, and Speedfreek. The New Warriors fought this group in hopes of increasing ratings on their TV show. What they didn't expect, though, was a tragedy. Nitro set off an explostion that left the city in rubble. This caused the government to question the values of some superheroes, and in the public's best interest, unveiled the Super-Human Registration Act. Objection to this act was the cause of the Civil War.

Fictional Sub-Locations

  • Camp Hammond: Located in Stamford, training base of The Initiative.
