East Coast member of the United States, it was one of the original Thirteen Colonies. Delaware became a state in 1787, and is known as The First State because they were the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution.

General Portrayal
As one of the smallest and least-populated of the fifty states, it is also perhaps the rarest to appear in any comics. Even the oft-referenced Delaware River crossing of George Washington has nothing to do with Delaware state on either side of the river.
