Brief History
This intriguing island is known for its 887 giant stone statues, placed around the coasline. These are called "Moai", most of them are only head and torso. But some are full upright body figures or kneling with their hands on the stomach .
Easter Island Is located in the south pacific ocean, west of Chile. The Island is the most isolated in the world. Because of It's location 2000 miles away from the nearest population center.
