History

Once a prison on the planet Krypton, Fort Rozz and its inmates were thrown into the Phantom Zone after a Phantom Zone Projector exploded during a riot. The guards were instantly slaughtered by the inmates, anyone in the Phantom Zone who sets foot inside Fort Rozz turns solid. Unlike the rest of the Phantom Zone time passes normally inside Fort Rozz.

Supergirl

Fort Rozz plays a prominent role in the CW television series Supergirl. It was a Kryptonian prison held within the Phantom Zone, and was later propelled back into normal space, crash-landing to earth along with the pod containing Kara Zor-El. With this crash, many of its prisoners escaped, and serve as alien characters, mostly villains, that consistently appear throughout the series. Notable escapees include Astra, Non, and their Kryptonian army; as well as Jemm.
