Overview

Georgetown College was established in 1789 by the Jesuit Bishop John Carroll. Until the founding of the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1850, it was the only higher education division of the university.

Depiction in Comics

In DC comics, Georgetown College is depicted as being one of only a handful of schools that teach classes on parapsychology. Donovan Caine was a professor of parapsychology at the college who conducted experiments with his students, including a Satanic ritual that accidentally killed his wife Marianne. Hank Hall and Dawn Granger were also students of Georgetown College.
