One of the more commonly depicted Southern states in comics, its most significant recurring depiction is in The Walking Dead but otherwise it is rarely a main setting.

- Atlanta: Capital and most populous city in the state. Atlanta was the base of the new Freedom Fighters; among their ranks were Uncle Sam, Ray, Damage, Black Bolt II, The Phantom Lady and the Human Bomb.
- Jekyll Island: An island off the coast of Georgia.
- Woodbury: Small town in Georgia made into a secure community in The Walking Dead. Once had a population of 1,102 people. Once the zombie apocalypse hits the population drops significantly. A man called the Governor organizes the remaining people into a community that fences off four blocks. Guards patrol the boundaries and work on securing a fifth block. People come to Woodbury for a time but the steam slowly dies out. For entertainment, the community watches fights in a former racing track with a generator. The fights are between people who are encouraged to fight in close quarters due to zombies staked all around the arena. The zombies are somewhat domicile since the Governor feeds them the bodies of strangers that don't fall in line.
