Brief History

This base was used by the X-Men after the events of the Messiah Complex, in which the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning was all but destroyed during an attack. Although Graymalkin served as the X-Men's base for some time, it was abandoned quite soon after Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers tried to take the X-Men out during the "Utopia X" story-line. The X-Men now reside on the island they dubbed Utopia.
