Hong Kong

Known through the 20th century as British Hong Kong when it was an island territory of the UK, the city-state was returned to China in 1997 and integrated as a special administrative division alongside the similar Macau, giving it a certain level of autonomy from the mainland.

The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight.

For about ten or twelve minutes we see Hong Kong. Hong Kong's short appearance in the Dark Knight is due to the fact that Mr. Loe has fled America in order to keep from ever getting in trouble with the law after helping the mob. Batman must bring Mr. Loe back to America or risk having the mob go free. Batman of course succeeds in this and Hong Kong is only mentioned once after this short scene.
