The last of the great jungles, the land of Turonia borders the shrinking Sea of Noopin. After a millennia of global warming, the virtually impenetrable jungle is in its death throes. What once took cycles (years) to cross on foot, could now be traveled in forty turns (days.) It is within the jungles the Aviannas call their home. And it is within these jungles that poachers and slavers seek their fortune.

An old sailor’s proverb said, “All rivers of fortune lead to Turonia.”
