Also described as a "Howling Wilderness", the Pictlands is considered the far western region of the world continent, west of Aquilonia and north of Zingara. It is dotted with hundreds of tribes and villages, each with their own unique cultures and customs, but united in their hatred of the imperial expansion of their neighbors across the Black and Thunder Rivers that separate them from the kingdoms of men. It is a woodland filled with all manner of beasts, and fraught with dangers to the unwary.
