Pinewood Sanitarium is located in upstate New York. The Hospital was subject to a hostile takeover when the Controller slowly enslaved the minds of the the staff and the patients to power his armor. Iron Man was able to put a stop to it when in the guise of Tony Stark made adjustments to the Controller helmet that would make it break once it reached a certain height in power.
