Origin

Riverdale is fictional town home to the characters of the Archie Universe. Bob Montana, the creator of Archie, was born in Massachusetts. Riverdale and the various sites there are based off of Montana’s hometown in Massachusetts .

Description

Riverdale is depicted as a medium sized town. The state they are in is not specified in the issues. Most of the times, you will se it shown more on the lines of a nice suburb. Clean kept lawns, nice parks, and friendly neighbors are frequently seen around the area. It has what every suburban area usually has, a mall, restaurants, beach, schools, and so on. Riverdale is near other towns such as: Pembrooke, home of Cheryl Blossom; Greendale, home of Sabrina Spellman the Teenage Witch; and Midvale, home of Josie and the Pussycats.
