A soapland is an establishment in Shinjuku, the Tokyo’s Soho. Men are going there in order to take a bath with gorgeous young women. These women do after the bath a massage and some other sensual stuff. The employees must be in sexy underwear.

They aren’t prostitutes. They don’t sleep with their clients. They are a kind of geishas in the industry of sex. They are well protected. If a client tries to go too far, the security throws him outside in the following minute.

Soaplands were created when the prostitution was been forbidden. Brothels became soaplands.
