After the event known as the Blackest Night, a White Lantern appeared in the small town of Silver City, New Mexico. Unable to be moved, the White Lantern caught the attention of Sinestro, who quickly brought Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris to it's location.
Silver City is also the hometown of the new Aqualad, Jackson Hyde, who resides there with his adopted parents.
Trivia Fact: Silver City, New Mexico is one of the few DC locations which has a real world counterpart.
