Styx (Hyboria)
A river which forms the northern border between Stygia and Shem and the Eastern border of Stygia. It is known as "The River of Death".

In creating the river Styx, Robert E. Howard was atmospherically equating the river Nile to the river famous from Greek Mythology. Many years later during the Great Cataclysm, the Styx would tear open to form what would become the Mediterranean Sea.
