In the Ultimate Universe, President Steve Rogers grants the freed mutants under the leadership of Kitty Pryde a piece of land in the middle of the Utah desert to use as a new permanent settlement. With the help of Magma they raise it higher for natural defense, and terraform it into a green mountain island with the Living Seed created by Blackheath.
