Vlatvia was once a small independent Balkan country until the end of World War II when it was enveloped by the Soviet Union. With the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe, Vlatvia became torn with ethnic strife. Muslim forces loyal to General Hafza battled with Christian forces loyal to Count Vertigo. In the end, it was the Spectre who decided the fate of Vlatvia, judging the entire country evil and razing it. The only living things left in the country were Hafza and Vertigo, inheritors of a dead land.
