History

The jungle moon of Yavin 4 was first was settled by Sith Lord Naga Sadow, his followers and the Massassi. It is headquarters of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War that took out the first Death Star; birthplace of the new Jedi Order to assist the New Republic; creation of the heresy to repel the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion.

It was here that Jedi Anakin Solo help redeem a Yuuzhan Vong Shamed One, unknowingly giving rise to a cult that would undermine the invader's beliefs. Also its where at the end of the Sith War that the Jedi chased Exar Kun by burning off much of its jungle cover in an orbital attack, later reversing some off the damage by creating a subterranean terraforming station.
