The Crystal of Kadavus is kept under lock and key by Doctor Strange along with many other artifacts the Sorcerer Supreme has come across throughout the years. The Crystal was sought after by Xandu, who went so far as to cast a spell over Spider-Man to try and steal it from Dr. Strange. His plan was to use the Crystal to reenergize the Wand of Watoomb, a powerful mystic conduit. He failed, however, and the Crystal was returned to Dr. Strange for safe keeping.
