Throughout the publication history of The Flash, a majority of his villains have been ones who used high technology weapons as opposed to possessing superpowers of their own. One such case was former Olympic figure skater Lisa Snart, who would become known as the Golden Glider. She employed skates which created their own ice and allowed her to skate on any surface and even through mid-air. The original design for the skates was invented by Lisa's brother Leonard, otherwise known as Captain Cold. They were also razor-sharp, and could easily cut through most durable surfaces.
