Origin

The I.F. (Implicate Field) is an orb but once activated becomes a giant sphere of energy that draws things into it. The I.F. is quantum technology that originated from the 32^nd century. It is one of several weapons taken by the Lord of Time. The I.F. has several war modes generated by the hard drive core. The only known weakness is an electromagnetic pulse wave will wipe the core memory. 

The Justice League America fought against the I.F. when allied with Tomorrow Woman for the first time. Tomorrow Woman sacrificed herself to deactivate the I.F. In the next issue the I.F. can be seen on a display shelf at the Justice League Tower.
