The Illuminatrix is a magi-tech construction and the greatest technological achievement of the Zenn-Lavian people. It has the power to create the utopia that is Zenn-La on any world. It was soon realized that by doing this they were erasing the culture of worlds and forcing their ways on others.

The Illuminatrix was hidden and guarded by the Keeper of the Great Truth. Zenn-La stopped travelling the stars and over time it was forgotten.

After some time, Shalla Bal took the place of the Keeper and began forcing Zenn-Lavian culture across the universe. She was stopped by her former love the Silver Surfer who used his Power Cosmic to destroy the Illuminatrix and revert the worlds who had been converted back to their original state. But the consequence of this was Zenn-Lavian culture was completely wiped out and no trace of memory existed of the utopian society.
