For the Nova Corps, different level helmets unlock different power levels of the Nova Force. The Centurion has full access to the Nova Force.

For the Black Novas, every member has all power already unlocked.

Abilities

• Feeds information into the wielders brain
• Can translate languages from different species
• Allows the wielder to breathe in space
• Can pick up radio transmissions
• Records Nova's actions for the worldmind
• Has a visual heads-up display hologram
• Contains telescopic sights, night vision sensors, and heat imaging sensors

Richard Rider's helmet had the ability to become as malleable as cloth when not worn allowing for it to be hidden which is assumed to be a standard ability.
