When a mysterious power attempted to steal the orange ring off of Larfleeze's hand, Sayd traced the source of this power to the massive black hole at the center of the galaxy. This black hole had transformed into a white hole and a massive vessel appeared through this hole. This vessel, the Orrery, is the size of an entire solar system.

The Orrery was created by the archangel Invictus to represent the Vega System. All the planets and races in the system are represented, and after millennia he planned to make his return to the real Vega System and replace the planets corrupted by the "Beast of Okaara" with his own and resume his place in the system.
