The Redeemer Armor was originally worn by Craig Saunders. He was killed in the destruction of Middletown and he was replaced by the reanimated corpse of General Ross. A more powerful and modified version of the Redeemer armor would be used by General Ross to attack the Red Hulk. However, General Ross was thought killed when the Red Hulk punches through the Redeemer's body armor. The Ross within the newer armor was a LMD and his death was staged by Ross himself (as the Red Hulk) and Bruce Banner. After the 'death of Ross', Banner had apparently repaired and modified the Redeemer armor and used it to protect himself against a brainwashed Rick Jones (as A-Bomb). Yet again later, another remodeled Redeemer armor would be used by General Fortean to attack the Red Hulk, and again unsuccessfully.
