A specialized engine, designed to protect assailants and ladders while approaching the defensive walls of a fortification. Typically a tower on four wheels, Siege Towers were designed to deliver troops over an enemy's walls; once it was brought close enough, it would lower a gangplank and the troops housed inside would rush to assault the walls.
